Katahdin sheep

We started with Katahdin sheep by accident. We knew we wanted sheep eventually, but then a sheep showed up in our neighbors cattle pasture after a storm. The sheep stayed there for several weeks and no one came to claim it. Our neighbors gave her to us b/c she could get out of their fencing and not ours. Her name is Wally and our herd has grown to 21 and includes a few Dorper/Katahdin crosses as well. Katahdins are classified as a “hair sheep”, they do not need sheering. They are docile and easy on our pastures.
